The Beauty of Our Roots mural at Collective Roots in Laverne, OK, is a collection of Laverne’s roots with sand plums and blooms for the Sand Plum Capital of Oklahoma, a hot air balloon for Jimmy Webb's “Up, Up, and Away” song inspiration, Jane Jayroe’s Miss America crown, a swirly music staff for the music they played together, a Laverne “L,” part of the building’s nostalgic Western Auto sign, and Laverne’s famous 4th of July fireworks for Merle and Barbara Swineford, who are examples of involvement creating bright sparks for the community!
