Charlet Ringwald got to help paint the Bright Future mural and David's Doodles mural, and saw how much people enjoyed being part of these public art pieces. This inspired her to turn a dreary cat room at the City of Enid Animal Shelter into a happy, colorful place for people to meet cats in a playful setting.
We designed the mural to fit her colorful, sunny, happy vision. She invited the public to paint the mural throughout a Saturday in 2018. The next day, we added the silhouettes, additional coats and cleaned up edges. Then Charlet added cat toys and turf on the floor to create a park-like setting for kitties and people to enjoy!
